I did a contemporary architecture 4 course which was a Steel Studio competition for Koivusaari in Helsinki. This competition was for all Finnish architecture schools and their students. The course was done in fall 2011.
In my proposition, I designed a large module system and the building was a “shelf” for these individual steel modules which could be also connected to adjacent modules.

Main concepts for this project was a building longevity and easy maintenance and upgrading with the modules (example. Quick renovation times for offices because renovated modules can be done beforehand and then just swapped in a few days – quicker renovation means more work time and more money)
