Kappelin Grilli is legendary grill based in the municipality of Kaustinen. They opened a new grill building in spring 2010. To celebrate this event we at Arctosmedia created a new logo and overall image for this grill. I was head-designer in this project.
We decided to go for quite a retro style sign. Upper buildings are known landmarks that reside near the old grill building. Those buildings were used in the logo because the old grill building has become quite a legend locally and we did want to keep that part of grills colourful history in it. Colors were quite straightforward because red and blue have been in their signs always, all we did was just to tweak blue towards cyan.
